A Day For Blogging

I've been blogging all day. Technically, I haven't been blogging all day, I've been digging through internet sludge trying to find some good photography blogs to follow. I've been a little successful, but alas, 12 hours of staring at this screen hasn't turned up as much as I would have hoped for.

I've become very lax on my photography - maybe it's because it's cold and I don't want to go outside, or maybe I have all these great books to read, or maybe I would rather just lay in bed and watch Bones continuously on my days off, I'm not really sure. But I do know that I [INTEND] on changing that. In my thinking, seeing other beautiful photographs will inspire my own originality. Here's to hoping that's true.

Speaking of my distractions, I mentioned before that I have tons of great books to read. I stumbled upon this website called Goodreads.com and it's become some what of a social circle for me. I can't stop starring at it, it's like a bad car wreck or something. But it's allowing for a more flexible book club, which is always a good thing.

Another thing on my list of distractions is my cat. Leo Baxter. I know this sounds weird, but I could probably stare at him for a straight hour while he's sleeping. There's just something so peaceful about a sleeping animal, cats in particular I think. I don't know why this is, it just looks like everything in this world is good while they're laying there curled up in odd positions.

It's snowing here and it's blowing up memories...

The weather forecast calls for more snow! It's beautiful, and as it falls it makes me feel like a teenager again. Like it always does, and always will.
I found something interesting the other day. My old LiveJournal blog. Go figure. I remember writing in that thing twice sometime thrice (that's right, I used it!) a day, and somehow it just feel away from me.
So here I am, setting on my couch watching the snow fall and remembering all my snow memories. If you've known me for more than a few years, I'm sure you'll understand why these things come up. If you haven't known me for longer than that... it doesn't really matter, I just have certain memories that are hazy and certain memories that will always be as vivid as they were while they were happening.

January of another year, and all I feel is that I'm getting old. lol. Ashlee asked about New Years Resolutions. I told her that is I had to have one it would be to stop reading cheesy YA Fantasy books. I can't help the fact that I absolutely can not get enough of them though. So, as if on cue, Ashlee gives me the first two books of the Mortal Instruments Series, and I feel in
love with the characters in it. I plowed through those books almost as quickly as Harry Potter. And when I reached the end I was satisfied, but left wanting more. Lucky, lucky for me I suppose there will be a fourth book. And not only that, but a whole other series to go along with that book as a prequel. I can't wait!

To close, I will say this, if you enjoy YA Fantasy (Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Twilight, etc.) Then you should definitely check out the Mortal Instruments Series! And let me know what you think!
